Rear quarter panel removal
1990 Civic DX. Is it a big deal to remove and replace the driver side rear quarter panel? I don't know much about bodywork, but looks like one dang big piece that includes the door frame. The reason is there is rust on the panel and we found an identical color and year at the junk yard with a good panel. I thought it might be cheaper and quicker to just remove the old panel and put in the one pulled from the junk yard. Am I out of my mind? Or is it easy, or even possible to do?

The best way to do it is to drill out the spot welds, basically involves removing the whole side of the car from the roof down, huge pain in the ***, and very labour intensive, but you wont have to worry about trying cut and weld pieces together and have it look straight. Most people would just cut out whatever is rusty and replace that.

I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum, but thanks for the reply. I figured it would be labor intensive. Looks like I'm going to the body shop.
