Rear hatch struts for a 96-00 civic - part #
Can someone help me find the part number for rear 96-00 hatch struts. For the tailgate/hatch, not the shocks. The two hydraulic struts that (are supposed to) hold the hatch open/ help open the hatch.

Yeah, I saw that parts picture...but It doesn't look like any of the numbers correspond to the strut. Isn't 2 the bolt or whatever is going into the strut?....and actually now that I look more closely that does look like a #1 on top of the #2. Bleh, does anyone know for sure?

This is what part #1 and part #2 are listed as at slhondaparts.com:
04741-S03-900 STAY SET, R.
04741-S03-000 STAY SET, R. TAILGATE OPEN
And they are both $57.13 each....This isn't really making sense...how can a bolt assembly type deal be the same exact price as the strut. Anyone have a definite answer on what I need?

Awesome, where were you on my other thread? Haha I asked if there were any good alternatives to OEM struts, and everyone said they wouldn't use anything other than OEM. So from here the employees at Kragen should be able to figure out what I need, right? Or do I need to go in there with some sort of research done?

I took my old one and told them what car they were for and they provided me with the exact ones. No research needed! LOL, I wish I knew you had posted another thread on this.
Oem is good but they do not have a lifetime warranty like Kragen.
