Don't do a conversion. If you want to DIY, get used ones off of a '94-'01 Teg. You should be able to get a pair for no more than $400. Any kit that you get will probably cost you about a grand.

check out local junkyards, the marketplace and ebay.

i got my rear disk trailing arms from a yard local to me, and it cost me $90 for the pair.

I don't know where you are buying your parts but you are getting ripped off.

I bought my rear discs for about $200. And that is what they go for in the classifieds section.

Damn, hell of a find. I've tried to find rear discs at a junk yard but they always get picked over before I get to the car.

This was a few years ago, and it was better than the grand I was looking at for the kit.

Yeah, it'll work. Either that or from a '94-01 'Teg.

i know you probably dont like the "look" of the rear drum but id rather spend then money on a BBK. a real one not some AEM "lets just relocate the caliper and get some shiney discs" kit. you can find a kit for about 1200 bucks.. do it. dont waste money on things that dont do anything.

For that though... you already have to have rea disc brakes. The OP doesn't.

the swap can be done in about 2 to 3 hours if you have common sense and the right tools....I just got another rear disc set-up yesterday.

I have 3 rear disc set-ups.....a 2000 civic Si......A 1992 Integra....A 1995 civic ex.

Civic SI will work. Any idea how much smaller the front brakes from the SI's than the GSR's ?
