Radiator fan works sometimes and not at other times?
The engine is a fully rebuilt to oem spec d16y7 with less than 20k miles on it.
Basically, the radiator fan does turn on, but, after driving for a about an hour, it does not turn on anymore. The 96 civic d16y7 will overheat due to the fan not coming on at stops.
When the engine is shut off and turned back on again, the fan will turn back on to cool the engine down. After a few minutes of driving again, the car starts overheating at stops due to the fan not turning on again.
The process repeats itself.
Any suggestions.
TIA HT.

Is the coolant low in the radiator? Have you bled the cooling system?
If those are fine, then uncouple the 2P connector to the fan switch located on the thermostat housing and place a jumper wire across the two terminals of the connector. The fan should now run continuously when the key is in the ON(II) position. If so, the fan switch is probably bad.
