Default Quick throttle body question Need quick response.

I just bought a str throttle body and am Installing it as we speak. I removed my old tb and put the str on and put all the hoses back where they were. My problem: When I go to start the car it cranks then shuts off. If I crank the car on and press the gas pedal it starts to run but as soon as I release gas pedal it shuts off again. No codes yet I had to adjust the throttle cable to get the pin in the throttle body. Now I just can't get it to idle and stay on.

When the gas is not being pressed the throttle plate should remain fully closed or should it be open a little?

Sounds like your TB isnt open at all at idle. Try adjusting your idle screw so that it will at least run. Adjust down to where your idle should be once you get it started.

It should look closed when it is at idle. This is a pic of mine at idle

What does your car do when you start it?

Yeah, adjust the idle adjuster screw if there is one, there should be? I believe you turn it clockwise to adjust the idle up, and counter for down! This should do it!
