Re: Project: First world Civic powered by Subaru
kozanatos I don't understand what you mean by that? If you mean why removing so much from the Subaru, It was necessary to be able to install the Civic body. After that, the reinforcement begins.
Koopa Troopa It's the WRX engine such as the Flat 4 2.0 Turbo, 227 hp @ 6000 and 217 ft lbs @ 4000 with the maximun boost of 13.5 PSI. 5 speed transmission, viscous locking center differential and a Limited Slip rear.

This is an awesome build! I love it when people come up with a new, creative idea and execute it well. It's especially cool since you did it on a real world budget, completed all the work yourself, and it's AWD! Have fine driving this thing, it's awesome.

Greetings from Subaru land.
Nice project.
That's probably one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life.
The fun part will be pulling all the power out of that motor - the EJ205 is a stout little bastard. Posted a link on NASIOC.com, hope you don't mind.
Very cool, man. Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyones!
JayDMeh2 For the weight, see the picture, 1350 kg (2970), lighter of 54,5 kg (120)
D Griff The budget was the most important thing of all! I’ve done a complete restoration of a Chevrolet Nova 1971 10 years ago, it took me 2 years and 15 000$… That was too much time and money; this is why now the budget is so important for me when I do stuff.
anRules No I have no problem with peoples putting a link to this thread, I take the time to do the thread for everyone!
RCurioso88 Not sure it will be the best in competition since the weight distribution should not be the best. You will see some try out in the oncoming video! AWD car need to be dirty!
slide inside For the time, I buy the wrecked Subaru on October 22th, the picture of the running Subaru was taking at the end of December. I Buy the Civic on December 22th and really start the project in January. I worked in average of 25-30hrs per week to complete the project. I don’t count the hours of thinking!!!

At first I thought you were just putting a ej20 into a civic but after seeing the pictures I got all giddy and excited. Nice project and keep us updated not that you've got our attention.
