Ok i am looking into buying a 93 coupe with the jdm b18c engine. Here's my problem when i drove in it, the car vibrated a lot during shifts. the car is lowered with the koni struts and springs set, it's not too low though , it's a clean drop meayb 1.5 inches possibly 2. the rims and tires are us spec integra type r , he transformed the car to 5 lug type r wheels in gunmetal conversion and has type r rotors and brakes. I don't think the transmission is gone because it shifts into gears fine as far as the actual smoothness of putting in the shifter and clutching in and out. the mods it has are, skunk 2 stage 2 cams,and gears, skunk2 valvtrain, aem cai, n1 exhaust, no cat, driveshaft stage 2 axles and a act 6 puck clutch. I will try and explain how it bumps.If i rev to like 4000 in 1st gear and let go of the clutch as normal, it chirps the tires as expected but the whole body just vibrates until the car picks up and starts moving, then i shift into 2nd gear at about 6000 rpms and the same thing, after i release the clutch the car just vibrates hard as hell i then proceed to hit the gas and it pulls fine really smooth and strong. and same thing goes for 3rd gear i havent driven it up to 4th or 5th gear. AND YES I DO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE i am not letting the clutch out too quickly or too slow, i'm just freaking enjoying the car.Ok i will explain it better REMEMBER WHEN YOU FIRST LEARNED HOW TO DRIVE STICK SHIFT well remember when you stalled out how the car just felt like it was gonna break down. well thats how it feels except that i'm not stalling out i'm just shifting like a regular driver you know what i mean. i'm not ACTUALLY stalling out but the car just vibrates a lot almost to the effect of stalling out. its NOT the motor, i dont feel problems with the tranny its just the ACTUAL CAR that vibrates you know.this is how it goes, in abc terminology lol hehe ok first i put in the clutch (everything is smooth) i shift into first gear (everything smooth) i hit some gas and let go of the clutch (everything smooth) NOW IMMEDIATLY AFTER THE CLUTCH HAS BEEN RELEASED AND I'M JUST HITTING THE GAS ONLY, THATS WHEN IT STARTS BOUNCING ALL OVER THE PLACE UNTIL IT GAINS SOME SPEED AND THEN everything is smooth again. Let me know what you might think is wrong please before i buy this cause honestly i know i am not thinking the way i should be simply because well when you have a type r motor looking back at you, you cant help but say gimme gimee gimmee so i just want some outside input so that i dont buy a bad car. Do you think coilovers will solve the problem???

I was wondering the same. That could be your mounts but in addition to something else it sounds like.

I have a GSR in my 95 hatch and mine doesn't rattle or shake one bit, I use stock GSR mounts also, if its not tires or mounts, then I have no clue.

I know you said this above but are you positive, you just arent used to the 6 puck?

I have been in a car with every poly insert and the rear one esp made the car vibrate when idling and @ certain points along the rpm while accelerating.

yes paragraphs do own me sorry, ok yes i am new to the 6 puck but the guy drove the car too and it's HIS DARN car and well i'm sure he is used to it. Also yes the rear mount is connected . Maybe i am asking the wrong questions, so here i go...Should i be worried about the vibrations? should i avoid buying this car, he's gonna let it go for $6000? if i do get it what can i do to fix this problem, he said that if he takes of the rear mount that it wouldnt vibrate as much and that it would allow the chassis to flex more, should i have him take the rear mount off?

My car vibrates and it has the full hasport mount kit.....it doens't feel like its gonna bog though. I have a 7.5lb flywheel and when I am in gear at low rpms and I let off the gas it bounces a little I guess from the lack of staying power in the rpms cuz of the flywheel.

Just reread it.....exactly what Blazin is sayin. My car does the same thing...wheel hop owns me.
