Both have different part numbers. So, they might not work. I'm guessing 1 monitors oxygen before the cat then 1 monitors after the cat. So, the readouts might be different. Or, I might just be blabbing out of my ***.
Someone on here who has used both can chime in...

I thought the only difference was the length of the wires for different positions. I may be way off here also, but that was my thoughts.

That could also be it. I wouldn't think they would be different. An O2 sensor, should be an O2 sensor, whether it be before or after the cat.

Re: (Dimi)
wow.. can any one confirm this... cuz there is a big difference in the price of sensors before and after the cat.. if they are the same just longer wires or different connectors or something then it would be cool to buy the cheaper on and just cut up the wiring a bit

you're thinking right. the universal part # for the 2 sensors is the same. the only difference is the length of the wires.
i'm using a secondary sensor off a 99 ex as the primary (only) 02 sensor on my b18b

if you're going to cut up wires, you might as well buy the denso universal replacement. its the same as the oem direct fit one, minus the oem style plug

this is how the bosch sensor comes.. about how much for the denso sensor? is one better than the other? (i have a big problem with o2 sensors lasting more than a month for some reason, very excited about find a cheap way to fix them)
obd2 sucks by the way

Re: Primary and Secondary 02 sensor question (kitchale)
I got denso o2 sensor off of ebay by the seller name of "sparkplugssource"
It was about $45 for the universal and $50 for the direct plug on the first sensor. The second one you have to use the universal unless you want to spend about $75 for a direct plug.
I bought the direct plug on the first and universal on the second. Becareful wiring the second one. I think the wiring is different. They come with decent instructions.
Good luck!
