Power to manual windows?!
I have power windows and need to remove the motor for weight loss, but i will die without air. how would i install a manual crank, from somewhere like autozone. i searched for a thread but couldnt find one on this. Im sure i just cut or drill a hole in the side to install the crank, but how do i connect it to the window? any help would be nice. thanks

Ya, when ur vtak cross so hard ur aftermarket sparco type seats break over the awesome power of a stock B16????
EDIT:
I'm sorry, I'm not trying to make fun, that ****'s just real funny to me...you need manual window regulators (as for what types you ca use other than a del sol I'm not sure, but I'm sure the variety is pretty big actually...they probably don't need to be from a del sol...) THen you need the handles (if not have them) and cut holes.....should be all downhill (or uphill, depending on how u look at it) from there...
manual windows are pretty okay to an extent...like if ur battery's dead you don't have to worry about shutting them or anything, the only thing I dislike about them is a. it's always a pain to roll the passenger side down and b. they strip...it's a pain in the ***, they j ust strip and the next thing you know you're turning that **** and the window is'nt moving....I never owned a car w/o power windows but I've been in 2 many that didn't work becaue the **** stripped (however that happens)...PIA iono, gl in ur racing carreer I guess..

i bought the car the way it is, its the only del sol around here in this condition so i had to accept it for what is it. all others have dents resembling sledge hammers and t-bone wrecks. its a vtec model. im thinking of just keeping this car as an all-motor daily driver till i get my degree. i cant afford much now anyways.

how did you know i was fat? only 215, anyways if it was me, it would have 15 inch rims w/ some type of bfgoodrich that aren't low profile. all they get is nails and wear out instantly. Having a warranty is helpful but i hate driving 30 miles for a new tire every month...

i looked at the del sol in the junkyard... it must have been hit by a semi cause it looks like a tuna can lol. the only thing i could get off it is the rims. they look like those integra tunnel rims but somebody painted em black, i hate sandblasting...

Yeah, because we all know that del Sol doors will bolt right onto a Civic.

i would agree with everyone thats way way way too much work for a few Lbs you want to loose weight gut the whole inside of your car. 5lbs thats not even noticeable. you need to loose at least 100 in order to even loose a seciond in the quarter mile.

Re: Power to manual windows?! (B16SleeperSol)
if youre concerned about weight in the DelSol why dont you lose the top... that car weighs a lot probably mostly because of that, as far as i know.
