Is it possible to add a 3rd wire to IAC?
Ok, I have a 1999 Civic EX MT. I replaced my blown engine with another D16 to get me through school. The block says D16Y7, the intake manifold is D16Y8, The IAC is plugged into the back of the intake manifold, white connector, 2 wires, Green and Red. With the EX P2P ecu it runs in limp mode, With a 99-2000 P2E ecu it revs to 2000ish rpm and has a Code 14, IAC. I don't see any provisions for an IAC on the TB. I assume it is a D16Y8 intake and TB off a MT car. I don't have any parts from my old engine. Help please Thanks MIke
BTW, with the p2p ecu I get codes, 22 VTEC pressure valve, expected, and 65 Secondary oxygen sensor heater wire. If there is a way to disengage the ecu searching for the vtec solenoid, and the O2 sensor, maybe that could work.
