Icon6 Transmission? Mount? Clunck noise during deceleration

EG B16A HONDA CIVIC

Hey guys I had a question,

I looked around on the forums and some people seem to have a similar issue but i'm not sure where to start. Anyways When i'm in gear and i stop accelerating(let my foot off of the gas) the car jerks a bit (i think its my iacv...cleaning that after my exams this week) and makes a cluncking noise that seems to be coming from the bay. I might also add that there is some movement in the shifter while the car jerks. I noticed it about 2 weeks ago but it seems to be getting louder (but i might just be imagining that) So where should I begin?
Ill add that it does NOT do this is neutral.
Also my shifter bushings need to be repaced, any affordable reccomendations?

1.Check mounts? and if so which one should i pay most attention to.
2.Change Transmission Oil, and how would that help fix the clunck?
3.Could it be the clutch/clutch component, it seems to grab fine.
4.________________________________________________ _____

Thanks

Probably a smoked engine mount, the rear one is my guess but check them all.

Sorry about all the questions, im not very familiar with mounts,

But how can i tell if its gone physically by looking at it?
Where is the rear one located? and how would i remove and replace it?

Thanks

Grab your engine and try to shake it to see if it will move..you should be able to tell if a mounts bad by looking at it..rear mount is located behind the engine on the subframe

Yeh I think you guys are right, I shook the engine and it seems to make a similar noise like when i drive it. Does any one know how to replace the rear mount? I dont have access to a hoist

My car does the same with the stock motor, and when I'm off the gas completely going less than 10 km/h (in a parking lot for example) the car noticeably lurches back and forth with the engine clunking. I've adjusted my driving habits to avoid this (pure laziness).

If it is in fact the rear mount, it'll be a major pain to replace it without a decent set of jacks. I have regular floor jacks that I use for stuff like this and they barely get the car up high enough to be comfortable underneath it.

When you have a good block of time, get your car as high off the ground as possible with floor jacks (safely!!) and get on under there. You'll see it once you're under there.

Have you considered filling the mount with poly? There are MANY people who have done this, google it. Search for poly motor mount filler. Good luck!
