I have a 97 ex sohc, I have a clogged cat and switched it with a friends cat, passed smog and now switching back to mine, I took off the stock air filter to make my v-tec cross over noticeable, I am now wondering if poking holes in my clogged cat will make it even louder?

My uncle did this to my aunts car and it's not what you giys think it might sound like, I doesn't sound like a NASCAR, sounds the exact same as if the cat was untouched, I'm just wondering of it'll make my vtec cross over louder.

I'm aware of what it sounds like. It's a 4 cylinder, it will never sound like a nascar.
