Instrument cluster went out? '96 del Sol
So I've checked out the back of the cluster and everything is hooked up right, but for some reason just the gauge lights and a/c control lights are out. I removed one of the lights earlier today, but when I put it back in this happened. I've checked fuses and wires, bit can't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

Well the fuse runs the tail lights and the tag light, and they still work lol. But I may try it.

just in case anyone reads this thread and needs the answer, it was the illumination control unit on the back that went bad. i had another cluster laying around and used the ICU from it, and everything worked like a charm.

I have almost the same issue. I changed my temp gauge bulbs and now i am blow the instrument panel fuse. It only blows when i use the turn signals. The hazards do not blow the fuse but do not work also. Someone told me 1 of 2 things could be bad. My cluster or the ICU on the fuse box. Any input? I also have had speedo problems with accuracy and no chimes when the headlights are left on, no seat belt, and the door open with key in the ignition.
