car: 2000 civic si engine:b16
Well, got a CEL. Comes up P0304 & P1399
cylinder 4 misfire and Manufactures control Ignition system OR Misfire

bought the car with problem and have been trying to fix it ever since
changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ICM, coilpack and cleaned all injectors and problem persists..

any help or advice is appreciated.

Compression test the cylinders.

another thing to go off of....it only misfires in the lower rpms...under 4k...above that the motor seems to be fine..any other suggestions?

i didnt wanna make a new thread....anybody can tell me where the egr valve would be located?...ive been told to try cleaning this...please help!

The B16 does not have an EGR system.

Compression test the cylinders, check the valve lash, and do a Seafoam treatment.

i did a seafoam treatment when i did the full tune up...i will try the compression test...any other suggestions other than that i can try in the mean time?

Check the valve clearance.

i have a problem similar to this mine is a 98 honda civic ex a/t with 149k miles on it...changed the plugs, wires, rotors, caps all oem......distributor courtesy of autozone replaced it 3 times still no luck....engine is sluggish especially if its warm, during stop signs engine wanted to die...we've done a compression test and the mechanic says its okey...tested the injectors via testers and its also okey....i run out of ideas already cpuld you help me out too adviced and suggestions are very much welcomed....an2ny0830

first check compression on cyl that miss fire. and check injector by listen ticking noise while it running with the rod.
