Default Is it ok to change the odometer after engine swap?

I just got the car and i swapped the engine for a newer one. The title says exempt under mileage. So can i reset the odometer and put the new mileage on the new title. Is that ok to do.

if your car is over ten years old you can change it, but if you sell teh car you are supposed to tell them it is not correct mileage.
