oil ring/new valve seals
I have recently new valve seals placed in my LS motor, thinking that was the problem. It is showing symptoms of bad rings, but at the same time it is not. What have noticed after I got the new seals in, when I open the throttle @100%, I see blue smoke out of the exhaust. Then I do it a second time @ 100%, still smoke, but not as much, and everytime after that it less and less, until there is small amounts of smoke coming out of the exhast. So i guess my question would be, could my oil rings be bad? I remember i did a compression test on the motor, and i held good compression on all cylinders, but then I relized that it could be my oil rings, and my compression rings are still holding compression. I have theroized that it could be the fact that I still have the stock VX exhaust, putting a strain on everything on the LS motor, or it could really be the oil rings, or it just be that the place that I took to get the valve stem seals messed up(when i took it in, i got a three angle valve job, resufaced the head, new timing belt water pump, headgasket, new vavlue stem seals).

Re: oil ring/new valve seals (RacerRex)
Did you try doing a compression test after you had your valve seals done? if not, then have it done again to see what readings you have.
