Default Oil Pan Plug Stripped

The bolt plug on the bottom of the oil pan is stripped, the bolt will go in but theres a few little spots of oil on my driveway where I park. Is there an easy fix for this, short of replacing the oil pan?

I believe they sell re-threading kits at most local auto parts that you can try out....

alright i'll give that a shot. Any idea how much a new oil pan for a D15B7 would run me?

you are supposed to change the drain plugs in hondas every 2 or 3 oil changes!! not really sure why but thats what i heard ...so buy a few.. or maybe some friends of yours work at jiffy lube and can hook you up with them .. lol my friend got me a whole box of a 100..lol

if the plug is stripped, buy a new plug.. like $2.50 ... if the pan is stripped youll need to re tap it or use some over sized plugs ( i work at a lube shop) . but if you re-thread the pan, be sure to find/buy a small pen magnet to try and grab most of the metal shavings.. and maybe buy an extra qt or two of oil and just poor the extra throught to give it a good flush?

any d-series oil pan should work. shouldnt cost more than like 20ish + shipping for a regular pan. then another $15 for a new pan gasket...
