Default Oil Leaking From Valve Cover in a strange spot

So I'm guessing this would be easily fixed by replacing these grommets, but what would cause enough pressure to actually force oil out this way?? I've probably owned around a dozen hondas and have never seen anything quite like this.

Any ideas?

It's called crankcase pressure. Change the grommets and seals.

Wouldn't hurt to change your pcv valve just in case it's not venting properly.

BTW. It does work. All the previous speculation about them in other threads aside.

^ if it were cheaper I'd buy one too for myself...I have the valve cover breather connected to a hose down to the ground and gutted my stock PCV valve and put a hose on that to the ground...no issues for the 12k miles at 235whp

I bet you could probably make something like this easier than you think.

I don't but TBH never got around to installing one even though I wanted to. Won't have that option after the build.

I plan on it. Can't have too much ventilation. I'm removing the PCV system and routing it into the catch can.

Catch can if you want to save the environment, open line to the ground if you're gangster

Black box just catches the vapors and drains it back to your oil, I gutted my PCV valve and kept the black box. Some people weld AN fittings on the valve cover and run those to a catch can for further ventilation.

I know all of that I was asking his personal opinion when it came to how well that oil cap would ventilate the system

You know all that? Then why would you block off the black box? It's just another place to vent your crankcase...

and one of these

to eliminate the whole PCV/blackbox system.

After seeing that the ebay auction is no longer active, I decided to message the seller. He said that they have been discontinued at this time.

I should have a spare oil cap laying around. I might drill it out and cut up an old, eBay intake filter to see what I can do. Probably won't look as nice, but I'll give it a shot I guess!

It could be a lot of things. As everyone said Start with replacing the PCV Valve if you’re still having the pressure I would suspect rings at well the pressure could be from blow by from worn rings as well. I like running catch cans all on my motors boosted or NA it just keeps all that nasty oil and crankcase gases from being introduced back into the motor.
