when i accelerate, i hear a little squeeling sound that almost sounds like a belt is loose....the only problem is all my belts are tite.. it sounds like its coming from the passenger side.. could it be a cv axel? could that squeel? (its really faint too.. ) i dunno .. stumpped at this point.. any ideas?.. berrings ? anything? thanx guys.... (ive got a gsr w/s80 tranny)... no a/c or power steering ...all i have under my hood is an engine..tranny .. some msd ..brake parts and wirring .. any advice will help..

O YA.. forgot to mention that it only squeels for a few seconds in low gears..

Example*... vrrrrrroooomm (2k rpm...2500rpm SQQQQUUUU(2800RPM)EEEEK ...vrrrrrroommm 4k rpm.....

I have seen clutches do that.

5 speed... a clutch would make sence.. it seems like i hear it form the passenger side too.. ..

could be your air intake. make sure the fittings are tight. i have an aem short ram that squeeled all the time no matter what you did

i have a sound sworta like a hissing sound when i step on the gas in low gears. It sounds like it was coming from the intake but then when i took the intake off it was still making the noise. So i think it was coming from the throttle body where you hook the intake up to. I never went further with this tho. I would like to kno what this is myself..GL!

^^ alt belt is on the driver side.. im thinkin either the clutch, or like some other guys said, make sure that your intake couplers are all nice and tight
