Default B18c1 or B20v

Im getting ready to either rebuild my motor or sell it and build a B20v. i can sell the motor and trans for 2000 dollars so thats my budget. i eventually plan to boost either motor
here is the b20v setup i would run
b20 block
b16 head
b16 trans
or should i go with a different head.
or i keep the b18 save up and rebuild it

Rebuild the gsr it would be better for boost in the long run so it would be a cheaper route to go especially since you already have it.

any suggestions on what setup to run when i rebuild motor. pistons, rods, arp head studs etc.

A more prevalent question than budget or power goals, is how you intend to make that power.

If you want to turbo, b18 all the way.

If you want to n/a, there is no replacement for displacement. You'll have to work twice as hard with a b18 to make it as fast as a b20.

B20V on a light H/B isn't bad that's if you have on. Since you have a nice DD as well. $2,000 isn't enough for either builds. You've got to include ecu + tuning and bolt-ons for NA. **** adds up.

I can't believe no one said anything about the 215hp! You won't get close to that with a stock b20v. I would do the gsr all day long since that's what Honda made and not someone in their garage.
