Default obd1 vtec wiring question

Hey guys i just finished doing a GSR swap in my 1992 cx hatch. I used an OBD1 harness and converted dizzy and alternator plugs to obd2, shaved the injectors down for obd2 plugs, and extended the IAT sensor. Motor is running great with no CEL but i am having a problem with VTEC.

Since my car is a 1992 vtec was pre wired up to the shock tower. the gsr has a JDM vtec solenoid with no pressure switch. I connected the vtec pressure switch wire and the vtec solenoid wire together and at the shock tower and ran it straight to the solenoid itself.

My guess is i need to find the ground wire on the shock tower and ground it out so the ECU is tricked into thinking the solenoid is there.

Running a chipped P28 BTW

Any help is much appreciated as always guys

Default Re: obd1 vtec wiring question

okay so im pretty sure its a physical pressure problem. I double checked all wiring and also tried running 12v from battery on a switch to it and still no vtec cracking . Im going to pull the cam camps off tomorrow and check that o-ring in the center one. Had an issue with my b20vtec not hitting vtec because of that lil guy missing. Will see what happens if anyone got any other ideas let me know.
