Do you have an alarm with a starter kill relay?

Sounds like you have adequate electrics if your fuel pump is priming and fuses are good. This almost sounds to me like the starter solenoid is not being triggered, either by a wiring fault, bad ignition switch (happened to me on my CRX, exact same problem), or a bad starter kill relay.

make sure that little plug that carries the starter signal is plugged in properly. pull back the little black rubber and insert the terminal onto the starter connector.
