Default new windshield

Hey guys how much do you guys estimate a new windshield for a 92 EG bubble.

Part plus labor estimate cost

in my experience if you can get the sheild it's self from a pick n pull then DIY you can stay under 200-300. i'd hate to see the cost at a shop i know it's not a cheap repair.

safelite is one of the bigger names for auto glass, i think they're more expensive than the smaller guys too.. so expect to pay more hefty prices. but i think they have a warranty with their work. so it might be worth it if you can afford their prices OP

put glass coverage on your insurance if you can, they pretty much cover the whole thing

mine was free thru insurance

Not all insurance is created equal. Mine, for example, has a $150 co-pay for glass replacements. The replacement, done by Safelite, only took about 2 hours, and cost $175 out of pocket. This was on a 98. I don't see the price getting much different.

OP, you can go to most of the major glass company's websites and get a quote. Do that.

When i replaced my windshield on my 96 civic 10 years ago it was $220 and the company came out and installed it. I would expect it to be a bit more now days tho.

Had mine replaced on my old hatch for around $150, took the guy like half an hour, and it was a local shop. safelite i recall was about $100 more expensive in comparison.

thanks guys.

its because i am about to buy a hatch and it has a cracked windshield guy said cant be repaired needs a new one. so thats why i am asking how much it cost to see if i can negotiate price more
