Need help!!auto to stick srry if wrong section
im new to honda tech dont really know where to post this so please cut me a break guys. Im just trying to find a little help, I recently did and auto to stick convertion on my 93 eg hatch and need a little help to have it running right. A friend help me do it, but he did a shity wireing job, i want to know exactly how do i get ride of the automatic shifter box so my key can come out whenever and also i bealive he ripped off a few wires because first my speedometer does not work, my tempater maker does not work at all i also bealive the fan is not turning on because there is a wire dats ripped of and when i have the ca running and i press the wire to the plus my fans turn on but then of as soon as it looses contact. I want to know how do i wire my reverse lights aswell and he ran a wire from under the streeing colum to the starter im not really sure for what. and lastly before my convertion my car would start up right away without a problem but now i have to crank it couple times and it might shut off once or twice before i turn it on again andit stays on, once it warm the car turn on pretty normally, i just wanna hear what you guys think its wrong i would really really acpreciate it thanks a lot please send me a message or something thnakz again
I ASLO GOT THIS INFORMATION JUST WANT TO KNOW IF ITS ACURATE[IMG][/IMG]you have to connect the 2 fat wires together so it can start or if you want it to only start when you hit the clutch pedal connect those wires to the clutch switch.
to get the key to come out you need to make sure the knows its in park. take the green wire with the white strip and connect it to the black wire. now on your cluster the park should be highlighted and the key should be able to come out.
to get the reverse light to work you have to connect the two wires (that are right below the fat wires) to the reverse switch itself at the tranny.

Here is a little insight. Hope this helps.
Oh most importantly keep this friend of yours away from your car cause it does not look like he knows what he is doing.

not sure, kinda hard to say what your problemS are without being able to see exactly what this "friend" of yours did. it sounds like he messed up a lot of stuff.
to your problems: the key interlock can be removed by simply removing the small one wire plug that goes to a small box right under the ignition switch. there is also a way to do this without removing it is to wire the interlock correctly from the pre-exsisting harness. when i did my swap i just took the interlock off, it is a theft deterent that doesn't really work so it really isn't needed in my opinion.
reverse lights: using the existing plugs and harness and looking at your wiring diagram you will need to run the original reverse lights wires to the reverse switch on the new manual trans, if you go to the junk yard and get the factory plug and wire it this way you cam make a more seamless, cleaner install.
Fan: all my experience is my own install that i did my self and it was with a 2000 Ex. This is why i can not give you exact wires to wire together, you can figure this our own your own with a simple Hanes or Helms manual. but if you look at the wirng diagram you should be able to find hos that has to be wired to make it a clean fix. if your temp sensor is disconnected that would make your fan not cut as well and explain your temp gauge not working.
The wire from the ignition switch or dash to the starter sounds like a rigging that your "freind" did to by pass the nuetral safety switch. When i did my swap i wired from the original harness to a plug i got from the junk yard to the new (not nuetral) CLUTCH safety switch so that way you can't start your car in gear accidently.
i believe that my plugs for the speed sensor where different, if this guy just left that unplugged (which he probably did) you can get that plug from the yard as well, repin that and you now have your speed sensor.

Re: Need help!!auto to stick srry if wrong section
that plug looks a little different than what mine did and i can't say for sure that is the wires for your application because it is a different mode than mine but it sounds like you have your situation a lot more under control than when i first responded.
I would say go for it sounds like you got a good grasp on what you are doing now.
any luck on the temp sensor and fan switch?
