Well since you want our opinion. I think Shaved tail lights look horrible on any car. Yuck.

You do what you want to do to your car. I personally think its interesting, dont worry what the critics on honda-tech say, but i must warn you, be aware that if you do post up projects, be ready to get a mix of both good and bad reviews, thats just how honda-tech is.

you should be aware that the regulars here are more performance oriented, and less into the "ricey" body modifications/wings/kits/etc.

this 'trunk mod" looks like it would be at home with lambo doors and 20 inch rims.

people think highly of si's, you could've bought a dx and hacked to ****.

hopefully in canada cops aren't too concerned with your license plate being lit either
i've been pulled over cause my license plate lights were out.

Correct me if im wrong, but arent the SI's in canada just the equivelant of our USDM civic Ej8's, just the D16y8?

Good welding work, I did the same sorta thing on my accord, although left the lights and moved the lic plate to the bumper area..

But if you don't like it later for some reason you can always buy a new trunk lid.

Green fiberglass bondo is your friend, and Rage body filler is also your friend.

Looks original. good work.

I'm not too big on the style your going for but to each his own I guess.

Props to you for doing that work on your own. It's not easy and takes skill. Good Luck!
