My header buying problems continue......
Now it turns out again that Comptech does not make a 4-2-1 MIG welded header for my 99 SI. The TIG one costs too much for me. Now I am thinking of getting the ITR 4-1 with a 2.5" High flow cat. What do you guys think?

Go for it. I was also thinking of getting a comptech header but ended up ordering a CTR exhaust manifold and will soon get a high flow cat to match the 2.5" collector.

Why not the "JDM" DC? It's cheap, ceramic or stainless.
Mine had perfect welds throughout, no rust. (just ended up one HUGE dent and a HUGE scrape on the bottom.)
You can have it for $50, has a flex pipe on it, no flange.
2.5" Carsound cat also for sale, $50, no flanges.
GReddy mid-pipe for sale, $40. (second piece of cat-back, one that hooks to axle-back.)

Forget the cat for now (unless it has over 90k miles on it). Instead get a DC 4-2-1 one piece header, the sound nice and get gains throughout the powerband, no losses.

The whole thing about the CARB EO#'s if you live in Cali. Is for the smog ref's to be able to look up the number and see what chasis/engine it is supposed to go with. It will not be legal in the SI unless the number is the same.
