Mugen ECU on 92 DX hatch?
I've got a 92 Civic DX hatch that I'm just starting to try and build up. I haven't really done anything to increase power yet, I'm just trying to clean up the exterior and interior right now. I do have a cheap short ram intake though. I recently found a really good deal on a Mugen chip, but don't know enough to know whether it'll help out my stock engine at all. Here are the specs that the guy who is selling it gave me...
This is a MUGEN spec chip for a 92-95 Civic 1.5 liter DX/LX p06 ecu. Redline at 8,200. Provide good air fuel mixture. This will increase the amount of fuel injected into the engine under acceleration. This chip also modifies the timing curve to increase horsepower throughout the power band. Depending on your engine combination, expect 5-15 horsepower just from installing this chip.
What do you guys think, will it help me out?

Re: Mugen ECU on 92 DX hatch? (Cackophony)
Honestly, I would question it. Most likely it's a reprogrammed chip that the guy is calling Mugen. 8200 redline? I don't know, Mugen race cars go well past that mark. If you have only an intake, you probably won't see to much added performance with any chip. just my .02
