Motor mount
What are the symptoms of a broken motor mount? Whenever I'm in first or second gear and barely tap the accelerator, my car surges and jerks like crazy. I'm wondering if a broken motor mount is the problem.

Do you have an auto or manuel tranny?
If its auto to check your mounts, you have someone looking at the engine. Put your food hard on the brake and apply E brake. Then shift into each gear and see how the engine moves. If it moves all over the place then you need to remove mounts.
For Manuel you cant do the same thing. Honestly i dont know what you could do other then look at all the mounts and see if any of the bushing is ripped, cracked, or just not there anymore. More then half the time it just needs a bushing replacement.

Re: Motor mount (Luserkid)
It's a manual. The bushing on the motor mount above the tranny looks cracked, sort of. Would a surge or rough acceleration be the symptom of a worn out bushing in a motor mount?
Thanks
