Default Mini Me Swap went great, runs bad....

So I have a 2000 DX hatch. I gathered the parts from a 99 acura EL 1.6. I used the engine harness, the intake, the head and the Acura P2E ecu. I used my stock d16y7 exhaust manifold and all new gaskets.

my timing is set correctly, triple checked.

Currently the car runs just ok . . . its very glitchy and jumpy under 3500 rpm . . . almost like the computer is constantly adjusting something. . . its driveable but seems to have no power under 3500. it seems to be great from 3500 rpm onwards pulls hard vtec engages . . revs right up to 7200-7300 rpm . . .

Here are the problems I encountered.

I couldn't use the stock acura d16y8 header because it only had 1 o2 sensor plug in and the ecu wants a secondary. . . so I used my stock built in cat exhaust. I extended the wires on the acura harness to reach the front of the motor and the primary o2.

I ran 4 wires directly to the ecu and hooked up the secondary o2 sensor.

the ecu asked for a knock sensor . . . I installed one.

another thing I noticed that my old civic would always rev when cold and stay reved up . . . with this setup the engine only revs until you tap the gas and drops to 650rpm . ..

650 rpm . . . .idles really nice and smooth . . . but really ? is that what its supposed to rev at?

this is my situation. if anyone can shed some light or has some experience please let me know.

is there a difference in timing between the y7 and the y8?

Still trying to see where the "runs bad" part of this is.

How do you have vtec with a p2e ecu? You should be using a p2p at least

That thought crossed my mind as well. Is the Acura ECU somehow different since its Canadian?

I do have the P2P ecu from a 99 El. P2P I meant.

Its so jumpy and feels like its lagging. Driving in traffic is horrible. My old Y7 head with a blown headgasket had more power under 3500 rpm and was way smoother. I have driven an acura 1.6 el and the motor didn't feel like this either.

Whats the trick?? someone who has done this before is gonna know whats going on.

I have the 99-2000 Y8 intake and Head. I have been reading and I have a bunch of cold start assist crap on my intake and head. Its different than the 96-98 head and intake. I capped them off like the tutorial I read said to. Im going to hook them all up and see if there is a difference.
