Miata rims: What bore size?
I picked up a set of Miata rims (kinda like Panasports) and need to bore out the center hub area but I dont know exactly what to bore it out to. I have seen that they are 53mm and need to go about 56mm to fit the civic hub, is this correct? Any DIY'ers, what did you use to do this?

Could be wrong, but I think the miatas are 54.1 mm and civic is 56.1 mm. Very slight difference, you could probably just dremel it.

Attempted to use a dremel, and used a grinding bit. Its not going to work with that cause the aluminum just bonds with the bit and becomes smooth over it. Any other ideas other than a matchine shop?

Re: Miata rims: What bore size? (clm)
Goto Lowes and get a 57mm hole saw. Use a good hand drill cuz I burned out the motor in my 10 yr old electril drill (she had a lot of good yrs...) but I had a heavy duty drill as well. Start slow and don't let your drill get too hot. Not too much to it.
