Metal scraping sound after shifting
I don't quite know the reason for this metal scraping sound I'm getting but every time I shift into a gear then accelerate I get this metal scraping sound, it didn't start happening until I was speeding earlier today, I'm not sure if the clutch just needs to be replaced or what but any help or advice would be much appreciated

Re: Metal scraping sound after shifting
Does it come and go at certain RPM's? Could be an exhaust rattle. Mine sounded like a pipe was dragging across the ground between 2-3k rpm's and it was a section of the exhaust that was making a rattle sound.

the metal scraping sound would go away if I pressed the clutch in now I'm getting a marble like sound when I'm idling at like 800 rpm

I'll have to check but I don't think it would be the exhaust it's never done it before
edit: Traced the sound i have a bad cat so that deletes the marble sound but still don't know about the metal scraping sound from the trans
