Default map sensor and iac plug. please take a look.

d16y7 motor
d15b intake manifold
97 manual honda civic hatch.
p2e ECU
do these cars use a 3 wire iac sensor. because the intake i got has a 2 wire and there are 3 spliced wires that are just hanging there. and i connected a plug into this iac valve and the ECU is throwing 14

also it is throwing a 3 witch is the map senor.
this intake mani. does not have the sensor up top? and the car has the plug for it. instead the intake mani. has a nipple up top. what to i to about the map sensor.

Yes, the P2E (d16y7) Reads for the oh-so-lovable 3-wire Idle Air Control valve setup. You must run a Throttlebody that supports it, or do the wire conversion. Is your idle normal, or is it loping?

If you are running the P2E ecu that reads for the 3-wire IACv, i suggest you either get a direct y7 replacment, or if you feel like 'upgrading', get an intake manifold off any 96-00 civic EX Automatic, all 96-00 automatic's (including the d16y8) use a 3-wire throttlebody mounted IACv.

All 96-00 Civics with the D16y7 have the 3-wire, that includes auto and manual's.
All 96-00 Civic EX automatics have the 3-wire IACv
All 96-00 Civic EX Manual's (and 99-00 SI) use the 2-wire IACv in the back of the manifold.
