Just out of curiosity, I have a ls trans that needs fluid changed asap. I have some pennzoil 15w-40 around, can I use that as the fluid? I understand the viscosity could be amn issue but I used 10w-40 last time and they are both 40 weight oils. Any input?

sure no harm done, just recommended you change it sooner then if you used Honda MTF.

I was wondering the same thing I'm drawing mine now I got 80w90 gear oil will that work ?

Is an LS Manual Tranny different? I've always been told either 10w-30 or Torco MTF as better options instead of Honda MTF for my manual tranny (D-series).

that seems rather HIGH lol 80/90 but I'm not sure if gear oil goes by the same properties it should tho.

I always hear GM synchromesh is best fluid. Everyone IV seen with an accord 6speed has been happy with this fluid

80w90 is going to destroy your transmission.
