Default LS/VTEC Compression Ratio q

I am planning on doing an LS/VTEC (don't bash), with p73 pistons (ITR), a b18c1 head, and b18b head. The C.R. is going to be slightly above 12, like around 12.15 ..... is this going to be a problem running on pump gas at all? The highest Octane we have around here locally is 91. Thx

Default Re: LS/VTEC Compression Ratio q (Siturbohybrid)

more depend than just octane, although it is critical, you might have to run octane booster...fuel maps, ignition/cam timing..all of this is essential to achieve maximum performance and reliability with a high comp motor. I would hope the person building your motor would give you suggestions...
