lifting an b18 engine
Dont know if this has been covered yet, but i m ready to pull my b18c outta my car, but wondering where i should put the chain to hoist it out? Some say find some holes and bolt the chain to each side, some say to wrap the chain round the engine.
Just wanna know whats the safest way to hoist an engine, i can bolt my chain to the head and the other side to the where the ac bracket goes, but i m worried about damaging the head by hoisting it from there.

What I personally do:
Put a bolt(through a chain link) in the bolt hole one the back of the head(near the timing belt cover) and then hook the other chain to one of the metal brackets on the tranny.
I've lifted countless motors this way with no problems.

I just pulled mine not to long ago, all i did was removed one of my transmission bolts, (clutch housein bolt) and attached there and onto the engine mount on drivers side, worked fine, I tried using the transmission mount as a lift point, but found it hard to lift engine, (VERY TIGht fit IN MY cAR) might be ok for a different car,..
P.s. JUSt A LIL POINTER.. Lift the engine abt 6" or so. and DOUBLE check that you, removed all the lines, wires, etc...
