Life expectancy of kyb agx shocks vs. Koni yellows....
Hi, i want to lower my car when i get my tax return check in a couple of months, so i wanted to know if you guys would recommend saving up for koni yellows, or if the kybs will work out fine. I haven't completely decided yet, but right now i want to get H&R sport springs with them. Will this setup be good?
I basically want to know if these shocks are gonna go to junk quickly, because if they are, i'd rather just get the yellows, but if they'll last, i'll buy them.
I don't auto-x or race, i just drive a lot back and forth to school, and around town a lot. I'm pretty much just looking to upgrade my suspension, have a comfortable ride, and have a little more responsive handling. Any advice, or recommendations would be appreciated! These would go on a 2000 civic ex coupe if that helps. Thanks alot

well if your just gonna drive back and fourth to and from school and around town, you probably don't need either, i just bought myself some kyb agx adjustables yesterday for $300, but i will be using them for auto-x and mountain driving. i would say koni reds, tokikco blues, bilstein, etc. would be perfect for what your trying do.

If your worrying about your shocks wearing out, go with the Tokico Illumina's. I've heard they have a lifetime warrenty if used for the street, but it void if you race with them.

I have the yellows and they are great!!!
The kybs are nice as well and probally a little cheaper too. For the kind of driving you are planning on doing I would say go with the kybs and save some money.

kybs + H&Rs here. the ride is great, and the adjustability of the shocks really make a difference

the H & R aren't that low so the kyb agx will be fine but if u go any lower then that i would say go with the yellows.

I have had three sets of Kyb's. 2 sets on a integra and the other on a EG. I ran a few autox on them. And to be honest they would only go about 6 month's and then they felt really soft and shitty. I would recommend tokico all the way!!!
