Knock Sensor Problem 2000 Civic EX
I have a CEL code #23 and that is the Knock Sensor. I already replaced my knock sensor like two days ago and I'm still getting the same CEL code #23. When I first took off my old KS, it was broken in two. So I thought I would replace it with a new KS and it'll get rid of the CEL code, but apparently it didn't. Now, I'm just clueless on what to do next. The car is a stock d16y8 motor with 93, XXX mileage on it. And on top of that, everytime I drive it, it seems it has no power at all. I know for sure the KS has to do with the v-tech and other related power issues. I really need help on what to do cause I have to get rid of the CEL and get it smogged. Please help me out! Thanks.

Are you sure you plugged the connector in all the way? I know the knock sensor is a bitch to get to under the Intake manifold.
Or did you reset your ECU?
Is there a krimp in the wire?
And with that Code your car is going into Limp Mode. The reason for No power, Or VTEC

Re: (ifIexplode)
I resetted the ecu and it still gave the CEL code #23. However, I haven't check whether its plugged in tightly and all the way through or if there's a krimp in it. I'll do that tomorrow and see what's going on. Thanks for the reply. I'll report back and see what's going to happen.

thats true, and knock sensor are fragile, i was putting one in my friends y8 and it broke, but luckily i had another one. check the wires, to see if its cut or frayed.

I checked the plug, the wire, the screw, and replugged again. Everything seems to be in good condition. However, the CEL code #23 keeps coming on. I don't know what would it be now. Do you think it might be the ECU? I have a 99 ex ECU and my car is a 00 civic. Would that matters?
