Default Jerking/bucking after tune up

hey guys im having trouble with my car after i performed a tune up. i did a complete tune up which included cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter on my 98 hatch (d16y7). now my car jerks/bucks when im at low RPMs. i could be at partial throttle and the car starts jerking then i either take it out of gear or gas through the jerk. car ran fine before the tuen up. i am also throwing a code 14 which is the iacv but i dont think thats my culprit because the car ran fine before with the code. well fine besides the surging and high idle which never goes under 1500 RPMs even after warmed up. any suggestion guys? i did do a search and found one or two people with similar problems but i would like to get some more suggestions. thanks for helping a newb out.

Code 14 IACV made my car buck just like how your car is. Very annoying that I had to pull to the curb and reset my ecu just to get rid of it. Came back every once in a while. Unbolt the iacv and spray some carb cleaner into the holes to clean it out. If that doesn't help, replace it.

you sure you have the cap/rotor on right (and used OEM parts?)

are the plugs gapped proper?

i know for sure the cap and rotor are on right. the rotor can only go on one way since there is a set screw. as for the cap there is no gap between the cap and distributor housing. i did replace the rubber gasket/oring as well. the plugs were changed twice because the first time i bought some shitty boush plugs and i thought it was my problem so i changed them out in favor of some densos. still seeing the same problem. the plugs are gapped proper at 0.43

well i now think the IACV that is the problem. i unplugged it and drove it around and the car drove fine. there was no jerking or bucking. ill keep you updated after i get home from work tonight and clean the IACV. i priced out an IACV from autozone while i was bored at work today and it came out to $225. so im really hoping the IACV just needs a good cleaning

I dont have an iacv on my car (bastards sold me a ported auto mani) I will sometimes buck a little while cruising (like once a day) I just flick my key off and back on real quick (temporary fix till i get the holes machined) and that seems to solve the problem for me.

make sure you didn't knock off the the vaccum line from your cruise control to the back of your intake manifold.
