Default jdmshit carbon fiber hood - gap on side - need help..

I ran into problems with a gap on the left side of my jdmshit cf hood..
Wanted to see if anyone had any ideas as to remedy this gap..

As you can see the gap starts at the bottom left side of the hood.. Is there anyway to cure this? The right side fits flush and there is hardly any gap..

JDMshit.com sells quality equipment and has a great reputation among users of this site.

Have you tried adjusting your hood stops at the bottom? I know my hood fit pretty poorly until my brother pointed out that someone had fucked with my hood stop. Fixed it in about 10 seconds. Before freaking out, I'd look into that. Also, it's not the easiest thing in the world to align a hood correctly on the first try. Play with the bolts and such and see if you can make a constructive change.

Good luck.

I don't know why people say JDMshit has a good rep. I bought some spoon replica mirrors and they fit like crap, theres 3 screws to screw the mirrors on well you have to force the screws holes to line up because they were so off. And my friend bought a replica spoon duckbill and it stuck up almost an inch above the roof of the car it wasnt even close to being flush. Maybe you should try to return the hood and get a full carbon fiber hood from jdmhondaparts... I've heard their hoods have fit fine.

i agree with adjusting the hood stops..trying adjusting them to make the hood flush or somewhat level and perhaps look into putting some small shims between your hood attachment bolts and the hinges near the windshield..i had to use 1 small shim per side (between hood and latch on bolt closest to winshield) to make my hood fit perfectly. mind you, it's not a jdmshit hood. good luck bro.

I agree. Everything I've ever gotten from them has been perfect, and I'll be placing the order for my hood very soon. Just PM Newman and I'm sure he'll help you out.

mine did the same thing but not quite that bad. i emailed newman from jdmshit and he said to try to adjust it the best i can and if that doesn't help to use a stack of books when the weather gets warmer and it should take better form. i must say though for the money i can't complain.

hood stops, Its those little black rubber bump thing next to you corner lights and fender, you should see it its black and its a rubber piece sticking up ar each corner of the hood where your corner light meets.

To adjust your hood down twist the hood stops the the right

To adjust your hood up twist the hood stops to the left

hopefully i helped some

I tried adjusting the hood stops.. Still nothing, I even tried taking out the hood stop for that side, still nothing.

If anyone has any more suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!

try readjusting the hood like others said. loosen the bold on drivers side (side sticking up) and put some weight on the hood so that the side sits flush, or close, and tight the bolts again....see if that helps...

The hood latch on the hood, or the latch on the car?
