JDM Sport Rear upper and lower strut bars
[My car: 98 civic 4dr lx
First off I am not rich at all and I don't understand how some people can afford the top notch everything true JDM and high quality name brand stuff. The simple fact is that i'm not looking for name brand stuff. I know that its the smartest thing and its worth "every penny" but I don't have too many penny's. So with that said, does anybody have any thought's on JDM Sport stuff. Idk if its real JDM or not. (probably not). Its cheap and I know you get what you pay for but I was considering getting some of the JDM Sport rear upper and lower strut bars. I found them on ebay, and the link is here...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-S...ht_3766wt_1010
Its only the rear upper one, I'm not gonna post the lower unless someone wants to see it. They are cheap but I thought for that price its not too bad for something. is it worth the little bit just to have something rather than nothing. Right now I have nothing so I thought it can help if only a little... thoughts opinions?

Looks like junk, just another company selling things that do noithing more than sit there.
How people afford top notch everything is we SAVE. Or some max out credit cards and get loans.
If you don't care about function there go for it.
Personaly, I would never put that on my car. It is a waste of 30. Take that 30, and save it for something else.

I'm a daily driver that doesn't want to take out a loan or go much into debt. I want function and I realize that they are not racing quality, but i'm not doing extremely hard turns. I just want to improve my body roll slightly for just daily driving. Sure I like to have fun every now and then when driving but its not track material. I wanted a little bit of extra support for the little bit of money. I guess my real question is, will it help for just simple daily driving. I know it won't do much at high speed corners but for daily driving will it help any. The design looks like it will help some and not pivot much but I wanted feed back for that.

They don't function. That's why the more expensive stuff costs more. Those won't do anything but look good. You won't notice any difference. You gotta pay to play. If you can't pay you can't play. Car's are not an inexpensive hobby.

Those look just like the old Megan Racing bars I used to have, and let me tell you, they SUCK.
I wouldn't waste my money on lower tie bars either from them. I bought the full kit from Megan ages ago (front and rear upper strut bars, front and rear lower tie bars). The front lower would scrape on everything because it hung so low. The rear lower did nothing, so I junked it. The upper strut bars were so flexible they might as well have been useless.
I have Carbing front and rear upper strut bars now. They are extremely rigid, and most importantly, made out of ONE PIECE. They're not hinged, 3 piece piles of junk like those bars. They are more expensive, but they hold their value and perform.
Seriously, save your money for a quality bar and you'll be a lot happier. Don't buy cheap crap just because it's out there. You will regret spending your money when you end up not being happy with the cheap products you buy. Not to mention, nobody will want to buy it from you later on when you decide to unload it.
I'd advise just getting a front and rear upper strut bar if you want better cornering. Buy a nice used bar from someone on the forums if you want to save money.
