Default JDM D15B VTEC 87,88 or 91 Octane??

Does a jdm d15b vtec need higher octane? I think it does but im not so sure? I want to put the right octane cause I dont want quick wear on my engine. Any help would be great thanks.

But I thought a engine with higher compression need higher octane. I just wanna make sure. Like everyone else I want my car to last.

JDM D15B isn't high compression. It has the same compression as a z6.

Its a D-Series. It'll run on water if you squint your eyes hard enough.

It's somewhere around 9.2 or 9.3. Still doesn't matter though because y8 is 9.6 and only requires 87. My mini me is 9.9 and runs fine on 87 too.

But what about how JDM motors were designed to run on a higher octane? Since this is a JDM only motor you might want to think about that.. but my guess is that it will be fine on 87.

i have a d15b7, when i run it on 87 it seems to have a lagging issue when trying to accell, with 89 it doesnt do that. my engine just sucks tho

you should be fine with 87 in it, why pay the extra money if you dont have too
