Hey I did a few searches but everyones cases seemed to be a constant rattle. Or it was a tranny bearing that would go away with clutch depression.

I have a rattle comming from the engine bay but I can only hear it at idle. Once more, it'll rattle for a few seconds then stop. Also, it'll rattle regardless of whether i have the clutch depressed or if it's in neutral.

Any thoughts?

Loose exhaust heat shield? If not, open the hood during idling and try to pinpoint the noise.

Is your AC running when you hear it? I have heard some compressors that are noisy when they kick on...
