Installing autometer Tach in 99 Civic DX hatch
Im installing an autometer cobalt tach in my dx hatch and im 100% positive that i have everyhting hooked up right...red - power, green - to blue non striped wire on distributer and black to ground. white - for lights. on the back there is a blue and a brown wire, for a 4 cylinder you have to cut the blue wire wich i did. and for some reason the tach idles at 4,000 rpm and when u rev it it goes way past 10 faster then it schould. has anybody had this priblem befor?

the autometer tyach should have some wire that are looped you need to cut whichever ones are required for 4 cylinder.. Mine had 2 sets and I had to cut both of em
