Alright, I previously installed o-rings and I noticed that it kind of cracked or overstretched in some areas as I was putting it on. As I put it into the fuel rail I find it hard to put on.

I heard that Boiling the O-ring before I insert it makes it not rip around the corners. And dputting some lube on it makes it easier going in the fuel rail, lessening the chance of damaging the o ring upon injector to fuel rail installation.

Anyone ever try boiling the o ring? how do you do it? will any lube work or just oil or vaseline or do i need some o ring specific grease.

I'm leaking hella gas and is not cool. stinks like doodoo.

I don't know about boiling, that seems pretty excessive. I've use vaseline to do a few of them before, and it worked really well.

vasaline and rubber dont mix.

use lithium grease or even motor oil.. i changed the o-rings on my d15.. it was a simple on and off procedure.. slid into my aem rail like butter.

This is what I do:

1) Dab a drop of motor oil and coat the O-ring at the end of the injectors
2) Carefully push the injectors into the FUEL RAIL first
3) Align all of the injectors into the intake manifold, and push them in until they are seated on the thick black rubber O-ring
4) Tighten the bolts on the fuel rail.

Don't boil them or put Vasoline on them.

yes!!! motor oil..not too much..just a light coating..and if they look dry rotted..cracked..old..dont use them..u WILL regret it when fuel starts spraying out into ur engine bay..lol..u can get some from your local parts store..

Alright thanks guys, I think that's why my others ones cracked, they might've been dry.

I used fresh oil, went in perfect.
