Ignitor interchangability
Will the internals of a distributor (namely the ignitor) from a OBD2 Civic DX fit in my 96-spec OBD2 Type R motor Distributor?? I need to replace my ignitor.
Thanks.
PS: does ignitor = ICM?

Re: Ignitor interchangability (n-line4)
I'm PRETTY sure they're interchangable - I know for a fact the coil is.
Simply set each ignitor side by side and if the electrical connectors/tabs line up and the mounting plate is the same they're interchangable. Don't worry if the colors for the actual ignitor are different in terms of one being brown, the other green, etc.
Oh and ICM - where did you see that term? In a repair manual, or what? I guess they mean ignitor control module.
