Icon6 ignition problem? car dont start.. please help

Its a 93 civic cx with LS swap/GSR tranny.. dont know if that matters with the ignition but just in case..

before i had this problem i had a issue with my ecu.. my car would sputter when im drivin under 25k or so.. so when i try to go solve that problem, switch out my chip p06 with my buddy p75 just to see if it would do anything and it fix the problem.. so i gave his ecu back.. and the car just sits in front of my house for a couple weeks now

now idk if that have anything to do with the problem i have now but just thought i post it.. maybe it might help.. but i called my buddy back to double check and make sure that it was my ecu thats bad so i plugd his p75 back in but this time my car dont start at all.. no crank, no click from starter or any.. just makes a wierd winding noise that i never herd.. now the second time i try to start it nothing happens at all.. my dash light(CEL, oil, battery, seatbelt etc.)dont come on at all and my radio and fuel pump dont kick in a hum like its suppose to when you turn your key to the on position... but i got power from everything else. headlight, dome light, car beeps with the door is open and clock is working etc. but my fuel pump dash light etc dont. so i decided an say that maybe its the ignition switch or something to do with the ignition.. reason being is that all that stuff is suppose to turn on when i key is turn correct? any ideas of what it can be? anything and everything would help.. thanks

I think your idea about a bad ignition switch is worth looking into, but first check whether hood fuse #39 (50A) is blown.

ok mane, check it out. Your getting no click from the starter sounds like either an ignition switch issue or a bad starter, check your fuses then your ignition switch. It is possible that the ignition switch isnt sending a signal to your main relay to activate the fuel pump or ignition coil. Once you've established that its not the ignition switch, check your main relay. If it is bad, replace it, but at the same time, if it is bad, that means your starter just so happened to go out (freakish timing).

alright i guess i must of miss the ignition fuse under the hood some how. now i got power to the relay and all my dash light comes on and fuel pump kicks in and primes.. but now i go to turn it over it stil doesnt start. i get the same wierd winding noise coming from the firewall area, but now i hear this short beep inside the car everytime i turn the key over. not sure but i also think i herd the pump suckin gas to the engine everytime i turn the key also. i can for sure elimate the ignition problem. so maybe it is a bad starter? if so, can any b series starter work regardless of whatever obd it is?

Is the starter gear engaging the flywheel? Did the timing belt snap?

im thinking the winding noise is the starter engaging the flywheel. went to the local auto store to test the starter and it was good. im not quite sure if the belt snap. could it be that the timing belt snap? how do i take the plastic cover off to check the belt?

Look into the oil fill hole while the engine is cranking. Do the rocker arms move? Does the crank pulley turn?

Check spark at the plugs and whether the fuel pump primes. Is the CEL on?

Yes, assuming the the Honda interference engine was not damaged by collision of the valves with the pistons.

okay i go to put my starter back in and i had my lil brother come start it while i check to seek if the rocker arms move etc. and with one turn of the key it fired right back up. i dont understand why it wouldnt start earlier today tho. did everything to get it started but it didnt want to start till my brother turn the key. wierd? but she runs now and everything. the CEL did come on and stayed on so imma check and see what code its throwing tomorrow. Thanks everyone who walked me thru this on here. couldnt get no help from local forums... RonJ@HT ill probably message you after i see what code it throwing and maybe you can help me walk thru that too. Thanks

Did you previously find 50A fuse #39 blown? Did it blow again?

no it didnt.. i just relpaced it with the one of my other fuse out the my other car and just to see if it would start. so i went and bought a new one today and i got power back. and figured out the neg wire on the start was ripped off so i kinda shoved it back in and wiggled it and it fired right back up. so the starting problem was my starter the whole time and the ignition was just the fuse. thanks for walkin me thru this. i stil have the CEL on. imma check to see what code its throwing and if i can figure it out you probably see me back on here.. haha.. thanks again
