Need some help wiring Vtec in obd1 DX (still throwing a code)
My friend and I wired the vtec solenoid to my ecu (p28) but it was still throwing a cel 21.
The solenoid tested out good but when we looked at the one pigtail we had (from the pressure switch) the wires were green and black (instead of blue/black).
We also tried pulling the ecu fuse for a few minutes to reset it afterwards.
Is there anything we missed?
btw we did follow the chart below

run a wire from solenoid to battery listen for a click - if you hear it you probably have a bad connection somewhere. I would look at running a wire from the ECU to the solenoid directly.

Re: (DTA-Zombie)
we were running all wires directly to the ecu, but when we touched the solenoid wire to the battery it did make that click sound.
could the connection to the solenoid not be strong enough then?
