Default Idle go up... Idle go down... Idle go up! Idle go down! Idle go... AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Note to self... Stop doing anything...

Anywhozer.. Enough TV quotes... Problem on my Civic... 93, Stock D15B7..

When it's in cold Idle, the idle bounces up and down from 1k RPM to 3K RPM. As soon as it hits 1k, it'll take like a second or two before it hits 3k, then it'll decelerate, taking a second or two to drop back down to 1k again...

Unfortunately, it stays in cold Idle for a good while, especially when I have the heat on... Time to replace the thermostat... But I'm not sure that this is the problem... It'll do it right after it has been started, or it'll do it while kinda warmed up, but not up to full operating temperature...

Drivability is fine as far as I can tell. I'm not throwing a code. (MIL is off.)

Anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

u could have a leak somewhere around your gaskets or your IACV is bad.
Spray water or soap water around the edges of your gaskets(TB one and IM one) for any leaks.

I heard it could be some sort of leak like the post above,or bad iacv. You might also have a vac leak of some sort or even a bubble in your cooling system.I had the same problem and it ended up being a vac leak through a bad PCV valve.
