Default Identifying my engine

So about 6 years ago my boss/mentor had his mechanic swap out my stock D15b8 engine in my 92 CX hatch. Now that was way before I got into upgrading the car. No that I am interested in building the car, what I have found out is in it is:
Stamped "D15B" JDM non-Vtec block
Stamped D16a6 pm3-1 head
D15B 16 valve - valve cover
D15b8 P20/A000 tranny
D16z6 intake manifold
D16z6 fuel rail/injectors
P06 ECU

What does this all mean? Did it get built for economy? Is it some mini-me swap? Any help will help me understand what I have! Thanks

You have a Frankenstein motor. They didn't come from the factory like that. Sounds like he only swapped out the top end.

Thanks for the info. So I'm assuming he swapped the engine with the JDM and then put a 90 Si head on it as in it the JDMs was bad and kept the original tranny?
