Default I am slow again. (Hey 56k, yo momma)

Anyway, i have a little over 7000 miles on my gsr motor since the 12.5:1 rebuild, i just got ahold of a full skunk 2 valvetrain, so it's time for some more downtime. And actually yesterday i thought it blew the motor up, but i was wrong, poop. So i pulled it out and stuffed the spare z6 in.

What skunk2 components are you using for your valvetrain? Also, how did that 12.5:1 compression work for you in the GSR motor (were you fine on 93 octane...any problems driving it around...etc...)? Anyways, sucks you are back to SOHC for a while, keep us updated on the progress

The extra resivioir is a custom power steering resivoir, i just teed 2 of the lines together and ran another line to a new clutch mc resivior and bolted it in, it's better than just removing the whole system in a p/s car, imo.

I had no problems with 12.5:1, it ran perfect, i never had detonation once and only fuel mods were ecu, si fuel pump, si injectors, and fpr.

I also ran ngk bkr6e's they are great, still look beautiful after 7000 miles of abuse in 10 weeks.

Yeah, it's all skunk 2 valves, springs, retainers. I got it all pretty cheap.

Is it just me or is your mount torn up?

It's not broken, you just have a weird perspective on it.

Which skunk2 stuff are you getting? I recently fucked up my motor and was contemplating getting those Skunk2 high compression valves, dual valve springs, and Ti retainers. My question is really about the valves themselves (the high comp ones). Do you know if they are good or not? I might have to try your power steering thing, cause I have mine out as well

I don't think the valves are the high compression ones, they are not flat, they have little recesses in them.

Oh well i suppose, they'll work.

The entire head is used, with like 5k on it, came from a car where the oil pump went out, all the valves, retainers and such are okay though.

I think they may be the .5 os valves, so i'm feeling kinda sketchy about that, may try to sell for regular sized valves so i can run some crazy cams.
